...and it's for a great cause. The event brings in funding for the 1.7 million meals Father Joe serves annually to San Diego's homeless. The beautiful course through Balboa Park is a great way to kick off your Thanksgiving (and also get a jumpstart on burning off the 18 pounds of mashed potatoes you'll eat that evening). The race is family and pet-friendly, so even if you aren't a competitive runner it's still a great event. Bonus points for the blues band and Stone Brewery Beergarden at the finish line!
