Outsized by half the walk-in closets of Rancho Bernardo, this skinny wooden box of a bar serves as the unofficial waiting room of the neighboring Centre Laundry, the unchallenged champion of Laundromats in central San Diego as far as size goes.
It's part Irish pub (green ceiling), part greasy spoon (small, well-worn kitchen rigged up behind the bar), part sports den (TVs here and there), but mostly a billiards bar (pool and darts, specifically). That said, take extra precaution not to walk in front of a flying dart; in a space this thin, it's probably a common occurrence. Dart tournaments happen Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. A traveling pool league stops by Tuesdays and Thursdays. Karaoke goes down Fridays and Saturdays.
The doors open at 7 a.m. and dinner hits the grill as early as 11 a.m. Cards require a $10 minimum.
Not into darts or screaming at the game while you wait for your drawers to dry? Take the lone seat by the window, in direct view of the Corvette lot across the street, and pick out your pretend midlife-crisis mobile.
