The Heartbreak Ridge Half Marathon features a 13.1-mile course along mostly gravel roads through the rolling hills of Camp Pendleton. More than 1,000 runners are expected to turn out to compete for awards in 50 categories.
Check-in begins at 6:30 a.m. the day of the race.
