The Comedians of Comedy is a low brow, if not entirely browless, comic crack-up aimed at the Coachella carousing hordes streaming into and out of indie rock clubs. Patton Oswalt, Zach Galifianakis, Brian Posehn and Maria Bamford crank out raunchy, self-referential, self-deprecating and sarcastic humor courtesy of the American brand of cultural decay circa 2007. Kentucky Fried Chicken, the collective childhood of the '80s generation, Cirque de Soleil, and Dubya, all receive searing send-ups courtesy of the Gen-X joke crackers. Severe scatological assault is to be expected, even anticipated. This is comic raunch for the college loan-slaves, aging cynicism for those of us who ran out to buy the first Beck album when "Loser" was tearing up the charts.

The Comedians of Comedy has appeared on HBO and Comedy Central as well as a full length movie special, one of the first films to be produced by Netflix.
