In today's golden age of pop divas, Britney Spears, "Bootylicious" Beyonce, and Christina Aguilera rule the airwaves, churning accessible pop that youngsters eat up with a spoon. In our obsession with skin-deep perfection, we often lose sight of the one thing that should matter most: the music.
Tabloid staple Britney doesn't really have the pipes, and Beyonce gets more attention for her booty than her strong singing. But no diva's talent is more overshadowed by her cover-girl persona than Christina Aguilera. From squeaky-clean Mouseketeer to buttless chaps-wearing "Dirrty" girl to jazz and blues-inspired singer, Christina's ever-changing image gets more column inches than her seriously soulful chops.
Christina most recently released "Back To Basics" in August of 2006.
